learning revit
Revit has quite a learning curve; I won't deny that. But once I got the hang of it, I began to realize how much more advanced it is than the traditional AutoCAD software. As someone who's more visually inclined, I absolutely love being able to see my work in 3D with Revit. And the best part? It took care of a lot of things automatically as I built my model. It's an amazing program.
My professor introduced Revit to our Graphic Communications II class by assigning a project to create a two-story home spanning 2,000 sq ft. The exciting part was that I had complete freedom to decide the interior and exterior design. While I had mostly created modern structures for my previous assignments, this time I wanted to challenge myself by creating a more traditional home. The instructions provided were only for the basic commands in Revit, allowing us to establish a foundational understanding of the software. I must say, there's still so much more to explore and learn about Revit, but I'm glad to have gained a solid grasp of the basics thus far.
